If you’ve been around the Texas music scene lately, chances are you’ve heard (and felt) the presence of Jack Nelson — 2026 CMA of Texas Vocalist of the Year, 2025 TCMA Emerging Artist Nominee, and 2023 TIRC Rising Star. With four #1 songs on the Texas radio charts and eleven East Texas Music Award nominations, Jack has carved out a name that’s hard to overlook.

But Jack’s story isn’t just about accolades — it’s about connection. As he puts it,

“My mission is to remind listeners that we’re all held together by the same threads of humanity.”

From the deserts of West Texas to the piney woods of the east, Jack’s sound is as wide and varied as the Lone Star State itself. He calls his style “my own brand of country,” rooted in storytelling and shaped by his experiences across Texas and beyond.

Born with a guitar in his hands, Jack started strumming and singing at just four years old. After serving in the Navy, he turned his lifelong love of music into a full-time career in 2012 — and he hasn’t slowed down since.

Whether it’s performing Tejano tunes with his dad, leading worship, or rocking out at Sturgis, Jack’s journey has always been one of passion and purpose.

When Jack hits the stage, he doesn’t just play — he puts on a show. His performances are high-energy, emotional, and interactive, full of stories and laughter that bring audiences along for the ride.

“It’s called a ‘show’ for a reason, and not a ‘listen,’” Jack says — a motto that perfectly captures his approach to live music.

He’s shared the stage with country icons like Tracy Byrd, Parker McCollum, and Moe Bandy, as well as crossover legends Lynyrd Skynyrd and even Vanilla Ice.

Beyond the spotlight, Jack Nelson is a Navy veteran, entrepreneur, husband, and father — not to mention the proud dog dad to his four-legged friend, Hashbrown.

When asked about a favorite song he’s written, Jack smiles and says,

“That’s like picking a favorite child — they’re all special and unique in their own ways.”

Jack never forgets the people who’ve helped him get here:

“We as artists only achieve success through word of mouth and support from our fans. I would not be where I am today if not for them.”
